Putting the Pizzaioli To The Test

Perfecting pizza at home can either be extremely difficult or near impossible to do. In order to get the crust super crispy on the bottom along with beautiful leopard spotting on the top all while keeping the interior moist you need to have an extremely hot oven. Which sadly, home ovens just don't reach such high temperatures. Of course, there are many tips and tricks you can do to mimic a pizzeria style pizza but nothing will ever really identical. Until now…

Breville sent me their pizzaioli, which is an oven specifically designed and engineered to create pizzas that you would only see in pizzerias and restaurants. It can go up to about 750 degrees fahrenheit and can apparently create a New York style pizza in under two minutes! Living in New York for over 10 years now, I’ve had my fair share of pizzas so I'll be doing tons of tests just for you! From reheating a frozen pies to making my own fully loaded pizza using my overnight pizza dough from the Ultimate Bread Baking Handbook, we will see if this oven really stands up against the multi thousand dollar ovens you see in pizzeria joints. I’m here to be your informant on whether or not this oven can truly replicate a New York slice of pizza.Click here to find out more!
